How to help?

Join the effort to build a national model that will change the economic and workforce landscape in Oregon.

There are many ways to get involved with CTEC.

  • CTEC Industry Advisory Committee (IAC)

The primary purpose of the IAC is to assist educators in establishing, operating, and evaluating the CTEC programs and provide expertise and insight about current and future industry and technological changes.

  • Industry Days Presentations

Industry Days are design to give students a broader understanding of industry. Presenters provide students with the ins and outs of their profession through hands-on, interactive, and engaging presentation.

  • Annual Career Fair

This day event is strategically designed to introduce you to CTEC students who are seeking apprenticeships, college programs and employment opportunities.

  • Presentation Evaluations

Evaluate student presentations and professionalism skills. An evaluation rubric and project description is provided by the teacher to evaluate each student or group of students.

  • Employment Opportunities

CTEC is a great place to advertise any job openings you are looking to fill. Send us your posting information and we will share it with our current students and alumni.

  • Interview and Resume Review

This day is an opportunity for students to develop their interview skills and receive direct industry feedback on their resumes.

  • Job Shadows

Industry members get the opportunity to introduce students to potential careers.  They provide students with a look at the world of work and the range of career opportunities available to them.

  • Guest Speaking

Guest speakers provide an opportunity for  students to hear about a particular occupation, the necessary preparation, and required knowledge the occupation requires, as well as other interesting information.

  • Site Visits

Host a group of CTEC students and provide them with an opportunity to view what your company is all about.

  • Classroom/Shop Volunteer

Assist teachers with student projects in the shop or in the classroom on a regular basis.

  • Donate

CTEC strives to provide real-world experiences to all students which creates a lot of costs. Industry can support CTEC by making monetary contributions or donating materials.

  • Guest Demonstrations

Industry members get the opportunity to showcase their expertise, skills, and their company though hands-on activities.
